Honestly, it's exhausting (especially being over 7 months pregnant). But, I wouldn't change it for the world.
Our day typically starts around 7 am. Vivian, who's 21 months old, likes to play in her crib for about 10 minutes before getting out. She'll hand me all her bedtime lovies one at a time for me to set them on her dresser and then she jumps. Loves jumping in her crib.
After diaper change, I make her breakfast. She either has a bowl of Earth's Best instant oatmeal, Earth's Best organic pancakes with organic pancake syrup, egg and cheese omelette or organic cereal. We always have some kind of fruit after she eats her main meal and orange juice. I do let her eat her breakfast on the couch while watching Blue's Clues that we have DVR'd. Child is obsessed with this show. After she eats, I make something to eat and have a cup of coffee. Only way I can eat in peace is by letting het play with Peppa...aka the Kindle...on top of the table. Otherwise, I can't eat and more importantly I can't have my much needed caffeine to get me through the day.
After breakfast, if not a Monday, Wednesday or Friday (we have Little Gymn on M and F, storytime at the library W am) we hang around the house. We'll either color, play with play-doh, jump on the bed, read, watch tv, play with toys, whine or have some sort of tantrum because I'm not holding her or letting her do something she's not suppose to be doing.
There are more days than most that we stay in jammies all day. Especially when the weather is cold and nasty.
When I do take a shower and get dress for the day, Vivian hangs out on our bed watching the Baby First channel and playing on the Kindle.
Days we do get out of the house, which we do all our outings in the am, we'll go to the park, shopping (I let her loose in the aisle since we hate riding in the shopping cart), indoor play area if its raining or cold outside (be prepared that your child will catch a cold afterwards), visit the aquarium (we have a yearly membership that allows us to visit anytime without having to pay for each visit), have a play date with our friend Julia.
Lunch is between 11am-12:30pm...really depends on what we have going on that morning. Sometimes we'll eat out and other times we eat at home. After lunch she'll play some and then cross my fingers she'll take a nap. She's a busy body which means I generally have to drive her around listening to The Golden Girls intro and Will.I.Am Sesame Street song "What I Am." Driving her around can take up to 30 minutes, there has been times it has taken longer. Thankfully, I don't have to leave the car idling, I can take her out of the car seat without waking and move her to the couch. She lays on me or next to me while I relax and watch tv and play on the internet. Naps last anywhere 30 minutes - 2 hours.
After nap we have a snack and she'll watch tv. If weather is descent, we'll go outside and play.
I'll start dinner (if I make dinner that night, ha) between 4-4:30pm. Very hard to cook because Vivian wants to be held constantly at this point. B arrives home anywhere between 5-6pm.
Vivian's bath starts at 6:30 pm and she's in bed by 7 pm. If she decides to skip a nap, I'll start bath at 6 pm and have her in bed by 6:30 pm. Kudos to the parents that have later bedtimes for their little one. I would die! 12 hour days are long enough for me.
That sums our everyday. It will be interesting tossing another kid in the mix. Bring it on!!
