Bubble Bath Fun

Miss Vivian loves her baths.  She loves to splash, play with a cup and play peek-a-boo with the shower curtain.

We were in Target the other day and browsed their bubble bath selection.  California Baby was on sale and I figured I would give it a try on how she would enjoy them.  She loves regular bubbles so I figured she would like a bubble bath.  I was right, she had a ball.  Plus, California Baby comes with a wand to blow actual bubbles. Score!  Only thing, don't blow the bubbles in the face because it will sting the eyes.  First hand experience here.

Since having the bubbles, we've had a bubble bath every night.  She's always so happy...she becomes camera shy.  I swear, she'll have the biggest smile on her face and as soon as I point my phone or camera towards her, that smile goes away.  I promise, she's a happy toddler!

Working Out With A Toddler

After returning from Mississippi I am back in workout mode.  I basically stopped when I started exclusively pumping.  I didn't want to risk the chance of hurting my supply.  Plus, I was burning 900-1,200 calories by making milk.  Good enough for me!

It feels good getting back into the swing of things.  Before pregnancy, even during, I loved riding my bike, doing my old school workout videos and doing leg raises and crunches while watching tv.  I knew I needed to jump back into things.

I did my Gilad Fat Burning video for the first time with Vivian.

It went surprisingly well.  I worked out upstairs which means I have to make it toddler safe. Can't have little one falling down a flight of stairs.

She did well playing by herself.  There were a few times she wanted to be at my feet or wanted me to pick her up.

Which I did pick her up once while doing some jumps.  Jumping with an 18 pounder was interesting.  I ended up putting her in the chair and let her play with the blinds.

She was happy!

What I've learned is that working out is a little more challenging and its okay if you have to stop for a moment if she needs you.  Overall, she's going to be a good workout partner.  I can't wait to get a bike baby carrier and take her for a bike ride.  I also think its great for her to see me working out and being healthy and not lounging around all day.  Not that I do that anyway.  Hello?!  I have a 13 month old!

A Month in Mississippi

I haven't stayed in MS this long since I've lived there 8 years ago.  Hard to believe its been that long.  It was great getting back to quite life of country living and small towns.

Vivian had lots of "firsts" while she was there.  She went to her first zoo, Jackson Zoo.  It was us and maybe 12 other people there.  It definitely has changed since I was a child, but Vivy enjoyed herself.  She especially lived the flamingos.

(I somehow managed to lose my camera that had all the pictures taken from the zoo and I didn't take any with my phone.  So sad.)

She went to her first dairy farm.  My Mom's sister and her husband are owners.  I loved going there as a kid!  Seeing all the calf's, playing on the bails of hay, playing in the creek and pushing pellets out of bunny rabbits.  That was so mean of us!  Vivian loved the farm.  She even went to another farm and saw horses.

Played in the rain.

Went to her great grandmothers house.

Sitting in great grandmama's chair

Rode on a carousel at Tanger Outlet.

Played in the sprinklers.

B and I even were able to get away for a few days.  One day we spent the day at Geyser Falls Waterpark.  That was a lot of fun.  We even spent a few days down in Biloxi for our 8 year wedding anniversary.  We stayed at Palace Casino for 2 nights.  Nice little getaway, but I really missed little tootie-toot.

Vivian turned 13 months on June 22nd, our 8 year wedding anniversary.  You are almost running, don't like food that is cold, love fruit and veggies, you say "yeah" all the time, if I say "bring me your yellow ball" or "give Bro Bro his baby" you'll do it without me pointing, you have weaned yourself off your bottle, you still aren't a fan of your carseat, you are a great sharer, you are gentle with animals, you love books, brushing your teeth, you are a total Mama's girl.

Memom and Papa sure did enjoy little girl!

B left a week before us and when Vivy and I returned home, he had a surprise for her.  A big pink polar bear!

We had a great time Mississippi!  We already miss you!
