International Food Festival

Happy rainy Tuesday!  Hence a Saturday re-cap because I'm not venturing out while the girls are in school today. My house is pretty clean, all the laundry is done, worked out yesterday...not in the mood today...which means I have my feet propped up watching Home & Family and online browsing.  

Saturday was absolutely gorgeous!  BK's secretary gave us a couple of tickets to her church's international food festival.  We've never attended, this was their fourth year having this, and thought it would be something the girls would enjoy.  They had several bounce houses, a Titanic inflatable slide (the tallest inflatable slide I have ever seen), a kid zone for games, food vendors everywhere, music, beer and wine.  I was taken back seeing a Catholic priest drinking a Coors Light in his black attire.  Catholics do enjoy their alcohol!  

The girls had an absolute ball!  JoJo bounced away, Vivian went down the Titanic slide at least 5 times, she also mastered the monkey bars, played on the playground and won lots of prizes.  We will definitely attend next year!

Easter Week

We had wonderful Easter break.  Vivian performed with the children's choir on Palm Sunday then the rest of the week we relaxed and filled up our time with lots of different outings.  We love Easter!  Not only because of all the egg hunts, Easter bunnies, pastel colors and candy, but because we celebrated Jesus' resurrection.  We also did a couple of crafts so the girls can understand why we celebrate Easter.  We all had a grand time!!
