1 Week Old

Sweet Joanna Grace, what a great first week we've had.  You are such the little cuddler and so darn kissable!  You are my olive skin, brown hair, dark-eyed beauty. I can't help but stare at you all day long.

Your days have been nothing but nursing, sleeping and pooping.  Never seen a kid poop so much!  You also pass a lot of gas as well :)  As of your Drs appointment this past Thursday, you are back to your birth weight.  I pray you continue to gain and that mommy is providing enough for you.

You give little smiles while you sleep
You eat about every 1.5-3 hrs and going about 4 hrs at night.  Our first night home was a little rough because you woke up constantly.  I don't think you cared for the flatness of your pack n' play.  The second night I set the bassinet up and you have enjoyed sleeping that way.  You have a harder time going back to sleep when you wake between 12-2 am.  It can take over an hour, but that's okay.  I rock and sing to you while we look at one another eye-to-eye.  When you do wake around 4-6 am, you nurse and I bring you in the bed with us to get some extra sleep.  You really like being in the bed close to mommy, but we aren't co-sleeping little lady.

Your Nana and Papaw came for a visit on Thursday.  They thought you were beautiful!

You went on your first outing to Target on Saturday with me, Vivian, Memom and Papa.  You slept the entire time.

Your not a fan of the car seat until mommy gives you her pinky finger for you to suck on.  I tried giving you a paci, but you spit that right out.  Just like sissy.

Car ride home from the hospital

You enjoy being outside like Vivian.  If you become too fussy we'll take you outside to calm down.  You like listening to the birds and wind blowing through the trees.  If you hear a sound you'll turn towards the direction it's coming from.

Gosh, can you get any sweeter!  I'm looking forward to spending a lifetime with you sweet girl.  I know you are going to shine in this world just like Vivian will.  Mommy and Daddy are so incredibly blessed that God chose us to be your parents.  We have two of the most beautiful girls in the whole entire world!!!

27 Weeks Pregnant and Vivian is 20 Months Old Today

Today Vivian and I share something special with baby Joanna, 4 months away from Vivian turning 2 and we'll meet Joanna in 3 months.

Vivian I cannot believe you're going to be a big sister soon!!!  You are going to love your sister to pieces I know.  Mommy is ready for you to have a playmate : )

Vivian at 20 months, you weigh 21.3 lbs, you are 31-1/4 inches tall and your peanut head is 44 cm (3rd percentile).  You are a dainty thing.

Your vocabulary has sky rocketed over the last month.  The CUTEST thing you are doing is when you call for your daddy.  You go, "daaaad."  I love it and so does your daddy.  You also love saying, "apple," "nana (for banana)," "bubbles," "bye bye."

You love to color and already know some of your colors.  You still love your books as well which makes mommy happy.  You know most of your body parts when we ask you to show us where they are.  For some reason when we ask you where your knees are, you squeeze your eyes tight.  It's hilarious and we have no clue why or where that came from.

You love to slide.  There's no slide too big for you.  You have turned into a daredevil!  You also love to climb.  Your favorite thing climb on is the kitchen table.  You are constantly climbing up there and we've even let you sit there while you eat.

Speaking of eating, you are so random.  One day you'll eat all day long and other days you barely eat at all.  You do love fruit thankfully, and breakfast!

You love to run.  You'll just run around the house yelling.  It is so funny!!  You go even wilder when you are wearing only a disper.

You are back to loving baths.  We had a rough month when it was pure torture for you.  So happy you love them again, especially back to loving bubble baths.

You love giving hugs and kisses...I can never get enough.  You are the sweetest little girl in the whole entire world.  Don't think you don't have tantrums because you do.  You get frustrated very easily.  Mommy is ready for you to be able to vocally tell me what you want and don't want.

I love you on all the good and bad days little girl!!!

20 Weeks

How Far along are you: 20 weeks.  20 weeks with Vivian.

Weight Gain:  8 lbs.  Started at 114.6, weighed 122 the other day.

Maternity Clothes: I bought a few tops from Target the other day and they are definitely more comfortable to wear than my regular tops.  Living in my J.Crew leggings and yoga pants.

Food Aversion:  Nope.

How Are You Feeling:  Great!

How Are You Sleeping:  Much better now that I'm using my body pillow.

Miss Anything:  Nope.

Symptoms:  Nose bleeding in the am are back.  I've had a few Braxton Hicks.

Labor Signs:  No

Gender:  Girl!!!  At our anatomy scan, we found out she has a choriod plexus cyst.  They go away the majority of the time, but will have to meet with the high risk doctor as protocol.  Her anatomy scan was perfect otherwise.

Mood:  Happy

Excited For Anything:  My Mom is coming the end of the week.  Also, we are about to put our house on the matket.   Our realtor is coming on Saturday to look at it and see how much we can sell it for.  I've been a cleaning maniac...OCD overdrive!!!
