NYC Day 3

On Tuesday, we had a very slow day.  It rained all. day. long.  We started the morning slow with Starbucks in our hotel room and tv before we decided to venture out.  We did have tickets to see the Rockettes for the afternoon.

By late morning we finally got dressed then walked over to the Oculus.  The Oculus is amazing.  We wondered around until we took the subway to Rockefeller.

At Rockefeller we watched the ice skaters inside and checked out the shops before walking to Radio City Music Hall.  We got there an hour before the show since we didn't have anything else to do.  Vivian enjoyed her cotton candy.  The show was wonderful and Vivian really enjoyed it.  Especially when we had to wear the glasses to watch Santa fly.  She also loved all the dancing Santa's.

After the show we met Brian back at the hotel.  We walked back to the Oculus and grabbed a bite to eat and called it an early night.  Vivian had a piece of pizza from Eataly and B and I got food from a different spot.  Vivian decided she wanted to eat my noodles.  It was so good!

NYC Day 1

A week before Christmas, Vivian and I tagged along with BK to NYC for work.  We planned on taking Viv last year, but we were out of school for Florence for so long (3 weeks)then she was hit with the flu and pneumonia and out another week.  No trip for her.

I am so glad ut happened that way with her being another year older.  She absolutely loved it!

We have a direct flight there so it took us an hour and fifteen minutes to get there.  So nice!

We checked in to our hotel, Downtown Marriot, then made our way to Rockefeller Center.  We saw the tree, ice skaters and went to FAO Schwarz.  It was so cute seeing her on the big piano.

After Rockefeller, we went to Union Square for lunch.  When in NTC, you have to hit in Shake Shack.  Vivian was so hungry by then she ate all of her burger.  After lunch she played on the playground for a bit then headed to Dylan's Candy Bar.  Her eyes lit up when we walked in!  She had fun picking out a variety of candy for her bag and it didn't take long for her to eat it all.

After Union Square we made our way back to Rockefeller so she could see the lights on the tree and Saks light show.  This years theme was Frozen 2.  She really enjoyed it.  Afterwards we walked to St. Patrick's Cathedral and she was getting tired and fussy.  We pushed through then walked into Saks so she could say she's been there.  She wasn't too impressed and only wanted to return to the hotel.

A good day 1!
