About Me

Brian and I met in April 2005 while we were attending college at Mississippi State University.  I was working on my bachelors degree in Marketing, he was working on his doctorate.  We had a whirl wind of a year and a half and then married July 22, 2006 in Savannah, GA.

Our first Christmas together as a married couple we got our fur child, Brody.  He's a sweet boy.  Loves to cuddle, follow me wherever I go, take long walks and short car rides.  Schnauzer's are great little dogs!!

He was our only child until our daughter, Vivian, arrived June 22, 2013.  It took us six years to get her and it was well worth the wait!  I knew God wanted us to have her on his time, not ours.  She has been such a blessing!  I'm looking forward to seeing what type of personality she will have.  I know she's going to be a sweet little girl.

We love to travel when we can and can't wait to take Vivian on some AMAZING adventures.  Looking forward to taking her to the mountains where I spent family vacations as a child, taking her hiking, hopefully overseas and we'll have to go to Disney World at least one time.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Stella Lake at the Great Basin National Park.  We spent 2 weeks visiting 9 National Parks.  Best vacation by far!
Stonehenge.  We spent 2 weeks in Europe.  We went to Dublin, Rome, Amalfi Coast, London, Windsor and Bath.  Incredible!
Even though we enjoy traveling, we are homebodies. Even before Vivian came into our lives, the only time we would go out was Friday night.  Saturdays I would do a little shopping while BK watched football or whatever sport was on tv.  I just love being at home.

I enjoy cooking, but find it hard when you are married to a 'meat and potato' guy.  I usually have to make two different meals so I'm not loaded down on red meat and starch.  I'm hoping Vivian will have her momma's food palate :)  I can't wait to make her yummy food...it will make cooking far more enjoyable.

I'm mainly doing this blog to document Vivian's life.  I have horrible penmanship.  Seriously.  My handwriting is like a 4th grader.  Terrible.  This way I can read my own writing and family and friends back home can keep up what is going on in our little life.  Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoy reading about our little family.
