Induction Scheduled

Well, it looks like we will have Miss Vivian in our lives on Friday, June 21st!!  I met with my High Risk Dr on Tuesday and my amniotic fluids had decreased to 4.9.  He scheduled me another BPP for Friday to see if they increase any.  If they didn't then I would be sent straight to L&D, if not, then he wanted her born at 39 weeks or a couple of days before.  On Thursday, I received a call from one of the nurses telling me that my induction was scheduled for the following Thursday, June 20th.  I was in shock.  She was talking to me and I was like "huh", "wait, what?"  She laughed and told me to see her on Friday when I have my BPP and she would go over everything with me.

BK came with me to my appointment on Friday 'just in case' I was sent for delivery.  I met with Sharon and she told me that I would call the hospital at 5 pm to find out what time they wanted me there Thursday night to insert Cervidil.  Supposedly, it takes 12 hours to soften the cervix then they will remove it then start the Pitocin.  I was told that when they remove the Cervidil I can shower and eat a light breakfast before starting the Pitocin.

I am NOT looking forward to having Pitocin because your contractions are suppose to be 10 x worse than natural contractions.  Believe me, I will be having the epidural!!  I'm sure I'm not going to care that I'm going to have a huge needle in my spine followed by a catheter.  I'm the biggest wennie when it comes to pain.  Heck, I passed out having stitches taking out of my hand and I also passed out scrapping my finger while playing pool.  I can't imagine how this is going to go.  Thankfully, as of Tuesday, she weighed 5 lbs 15 oz...tiny little thing.

I'm just ready for this all to be over and have our sweet Vivian Rose in our arms.  I know 20 hours of pain is going to be worth a lifetime of enjoyment!!  I can't wait to see what she looks like.

Can't believe one week from today she will be out of me and in my arms.  WOW!!  I hope we are ready!
